Bhadrak: An incident occurred in Mishrapur village of Jagannath Prasad Panchayat, Basudevpur block, Bhadrak district. A minor girl drowned in the river. The deceased has been identified as Jhilli Maiti of Tirupalli village. According to information, Jhilli had gone to visit her maternal uncle’s house in Mishripur with her mother yesterday. In the afternoon, she went to the river alone to bathe. However, due to some negligence, her feet slipped in the river and drowned. As Jhilli did not return home for a long time, the family searched for her a lot. But no trace was found. This morning, Jhilli was rescued from the river in a critical condition and was admitted to Basudevpur Medical College. However, the doctor declared her dead there.
