Two sisters drown in pond, die

Basudevpur: An incident took place on Thursday in Sanakrishna Dihsahi village of Kashia Marine Police Station. Two girls drowned in a pond. The deceased are Krishna and Koel, daughters of Basant Malik. Both are between 5 and 7 years old. The two were playing near their house when they fell into a nearby pond. After a long search by the family, they were rescued from the pond and admitted to Basudevpur Hospital. The doctor declared both of them dead. The death of the two sisters has cast a shadow of grief in the local area.
