Unbearable heat: Heatwave warning issued for 11 districts

Aadyasha News Desk : The heat is getting unbearable day by day. As the heat wave intensifies in the state, Jharsuguda has once again become the hottest city in the state and the country. On Wednesday, the temperature in Jharsuguda touched 45.4 degrees. It is 44 degrees in Titilagarh. The temperature from the coast to the south and from the west to the north is increasing along with high humidity, causing intense heat and sweltering heat. The maximum temperature has crossed 40 degrees in 16 places in the state. Intense heat wave is prevailing in these areas. People are afraid to go out. The Meteorological Department and the SRC office have issued an alert to the public to be alert as the heat wave is likely to continue for the next 3 days.
The maximum temperature in Angul is 42.9 degrees Celsius, while Baripada is 40.2, Sundergarh and Hirakud are 43.4, Sambalpur and Boudh are 43.8, Talcher is 42.4, Bhawanipatna is 42.5, Balangir is 43.7, Subarnapur is 43.2, Parlakhemundi is 41, Bargarh is 42.2, Nuapada is 42, Rourkela is 42.4, Bhubaneswar and Cuttack are 37.6 degrees Celsius. Severe heatwave is likely at one or two places in Jharsuguda district in the next 24 hours. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange warning for Sundergarh, Sambalpur, Subarnapur, Boudh, Balangir and Bargarh districts as there is a possibility of severe heatwave at some places. As the temperature is likely to remain above normal at night, an orange warning has been issued for Sambalpur, Sundergarh and Balangir districts. While a yellow warning has been issued for Kalahandi, Nuapada, Deogarh and Angul districts for heatwave, many places in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Keonjhar and Dhenkanal districts may experience severe heatwave due to high humidity. For this, the Meteorological Department has issued a warning to the above districts, while a yellow warning has been issued for Mayurbhanj district. According to the Bhubaneswar Meteorological Center, there is no possibility of any significant change in the maximum temperature of the state for the next 4 days; but the temperature may decrease by 2 to 4 degrees in the future. The mercury is likely to remain at 43 degrees or more in Jharsuguda, Angul, Sambalpur, Sundargarh, Kalahandi, Balangir, Bargarh, Boudh and Subarnapur districts.
