IIPM Hosts International Decency Festival – 2023

Udayagiri’s National School of Decency Hosts Annual Function
Udayagiri/ Bhubaneswar, .: Serious concerns were expressed by the participants during International Decency Festival – 2023 over the increasing of intolerance, Indecency and uncivil behaviour among human beings throughout the World. The distinguished Guests unanimously agreed that the relevance and necessity of the promotion, propagation and sensitisation on the decency movement has become more paramount in International arena in view of the current crucial scenario. Hosted by International Indecency Prevention Movement (IIPM) Founded by Revered Shri Kumar Bhai at the picturesque historical Buddhist Centre Udayagiri near Chandikhol the Festival and Self purification meeting on the First Day of the New Year was attended by large number of peace lovers and positive thinkers. The annual Function of National School of Decency at Udayagiri was also held during the occasion with pomp, splendour and much fanfare. Inaugurating the Festival in the morning Renowned Buddhist Monk Ven Dhammagaveso Thero Bhante execuded confidence that in case human beings could remain peaceful with meditation and civility controlling anger and violence, then happiness shall definitely prevail in family as well as all over the World. Attending the afternoon session as Inaugurator the noted linguist Padmashri Debi Prasanna Pattnaik advised to remain united adopting Buddhist philosophy renouncing false ego, self promotion and hatred towards others, so that peace, friendship and love will prevail in Society and the Dream of revered Shri Kumar Bhai to establish a decent Society can be a reality. Gracing the Mega Event as Chief Guest the President of Gulf Odia Association Engineer Ajay Kumar Das lauded the ideals espoused by Revered Shri Kumar Bhai and promised to spread the essence of Decency Movement in Gulf Countries. Presiding over the meeting the Director and Secretary of IIPM Dr Arundhati Debi gave a clarion call to all constructive thinking people all over the World to come up to the expectation of the time and be committed to build up a decent, disciplined and dignified society. Inaugurating the Eye Camp organised to mark the celebration, Famous Eye Surgeon Dr Anita Panda observed that the students of Sovaniya Sikhyashrams are spreading the enlightenment of humanity in the Society. Among the other distinguished Guests and Speakers technology expert Sambit Kumar Das, Prof. Kalikinkar Pattanayak, CEO of The Link Eye Hospital Rtn. Alok Kumar Sahoo, Prof. Kartik Chandra Baral, Senior Journalist Jitendra Patnaik and Pandit Pravat Kumar Kar praised the high standard of moral education being taught at Sovaniya Sikhyashrams and described these institutions as the centres of excellence for making ideal human beings.

At the outset of the Festival silence was observed in the memories of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Mother Heera Ben, Dr. S.N. Subba Rao, Former Secretary and Director of IIPM Satyabhama Debi and Former Member of Parliament Mohan Jena.

In the Noon a Seminar on the topic of “New Education Policy and Decency” was held with the active support of the representatives of Sovaniya Sikhyashrams situated at Cuttack, Rourkela, Konark, Bhubaneswar, Karanjia and Anugul. The attendees of the Seminar included Dr. Banalata Debi, Guruma Barada Mohanty, Bidyut Prava Mishra, Manorama Debi, Geetanjali Swain, lecturer Jyotirmayee, Mamatamayee, Guruma Mamata Pradhan, Shilpee Ashok, Sandip Pani, Actor Biren Mishra, Nirakar Beuria, Lecturer Indramani Nayak, Ramakanta Mandal, Engineer Dayanidhi Rout, Kalpana Seth, Trinath Mahanta, Premanand Sahu, Rama Chandra Samal, Uma Kanta Bal and Karunakar Rana. This year’s OAS winner Himadri Samal was felicitated by IIPM during the function. The Festival also witnessed a spectacular Cultural programme based on Several value based songs written by Revered Shri Kumar Bhai. Young and upcoming artistes Shrushtisikha, Gungun, Lucky, Prachi, Samikhya and troupe enthralled the audiences with their scintillating and soul soothing presentations of these musical numbers. At the end Senior Member of IIPM Minati Debi proposed vote of thanks. Maa Sharada Debi blessed the gathering. The entire arrangement was smoothly conducted with the active assistance of the able organisers like Shashadhar Biswal, Anup Mohapatra and Jayashree Das. Earlier in the dawn time the humanity Flag was hoisted and a Prayer Meeting for World Peace was held at the Peak Point of Udayagiri hill near Satya Yuga Pillar.
