Noida, : Rathayatra was celebrated at Shri Swarnakshetra located in the premises of Royal Garden Estate of Sector 61, Noida with much pomp and massive fanfare. Commencing from the early hours of dawn special rituals were performed before the Deities at the temple amidst utmost solemnity and unfettered devotion. At around 8.00 a.m. in the morning Pahandi Bije of Deities started. First God Sudarshsan, then Lord Balabhadra followed by Devi Subhadra and at last Lord of the Universe Shri Jagannath were taken by the devotees in Dhadi Pahandi to the colourfully decorated horse driven Cart Chariot.

Around 2,000 Odia and non-Odia devotees residing in sectors 61, 52, 53 and 33 of Noida congregated here to witness the Car Festival being organised for the first time here. Being hosted jointly by Hindu Sammilani Samiti, Royal Garden Estate Mandir Samiti and Samudayik Vikas Samiti, unusual interest, unexpected enthusiasm and unprecedented excitements were visible among both the organisers and participants during the Grand Ceremony. The entire arrangements were conducted smoothly with the help of 200 volunteers under the active and able supervision of the main organiser eminent social leader and renowned Chartered Accountant Dr. Manoranjan Mohanty.
Chief Guest Director General of Indian Meteorology Department of Government of India, Dr. Mrutyunjay Mohapatra conducted the traditional sweeping in front of the horse’s cart called Chherrapahanra. At about 8.30 am the pulling of cart began. The majestic horse cart carrying four Deities on board were taken to the Community Centre in Sector 61 . It was heartwarming and overwhelming to see hundreds of devotees standing on both sides of the road to have an auspicious glimpse of the Lord of the universe. As per the organisers, The Deities will remain at the makeshift Mausimaa temple at Community Centre for nine days from today till the Bahuda Yatra on 24th July.
Noted spiritual preacher from Saharanpur Acharya Ajay Kiran is scheduled to deliver the Bhagavata Katha daily evening beginning from today till 23rd July.The Bahuda Yatra here will also be celebrated on 24th July for the first time with equal grandeur, informed Dr. Manoranjan Mohanty, President of the Hindu Sammilani Samiti.
