Jagatsinghpur: An accident occurred in the restricted area of Paradip Port. A truck loaded with iron ore hit a highway here. Two haiwa drivers died. The two dead were Ratnakar Swain of Astaranga and Chandan Jena of Belukudar.
Two drivers Ratnakar Swain and Chandan Jena were repairing a broken-down haiwa . At that time, a truck ran over them. This unfortunate incident happened in front of the port’s I-10 platform. The truck driver who hit them has absconded. There is tension in the port’s restricted area. Cargo transport to the platform has been completely stopped since 3 am. Haiwa drivers have taken shelter in front of gate number 1, 2, 3 and 4 of the port.
