Protest outside the Pakistani embassy

New Delhi: Indians protested outside the Pakistani embassy in New Delhi on Thursday, condemning the Pahelgaon attack. The incident has further strained the already bad relations between the two countries, while Indians gathered together and raised various slogans against the Pakistani government in front of the embassy.
The Indian government has taken strong steps against Pakistan at the diplomatic level as Pakistan’s hand is found to be behind the attack. India has decided to reduce the number of officers and staff at the Pakistani embassy in New Delhi from 55 to 30, while India has said that it will also take steps to remove similar staff and officers from the Indian embassy in Islamabad. Entry permits for Pakistani citizens have been revoked. The 1960 Indus River Water Treaty has been revoked. In addition, the Attari-Wagga border has been closed. India has decided to withdraw the army, navy and air force advisors stationed at the Indian embassy in Islamabad.
