Keonjhar, : In a gory incident, an assailant allegedly murdered a youth by beheading him with a sharp-edged weapon over past enmity in Odisha’s Keonjhar district.
The deceased has been identified as Nandu Munda, a resident of Majhi Sahi.
As per reports, the accused identified as Thubu Munda hacked Nandu’s head with a sharp-edged weapon and later beheaded him leading to his death on the spot.
On being informed, Bamebari police arrived at the spot and recovered the body before sending it for post-mortem to a nearby hospital.
Police have also detained the accused for questioning in this connection.
A case has been registered and an investigation has been initiated into the matter to unearth the exact motive behind the sensational killing, said the police.
