Amidst viral reports that the Class 10 board examinations will be eliminated under the National Education Policy (NEP), the Press Information Bureau (PIB) on Monday termed the viral message as fake.
The message is being circulated among various social media groups.
The Centre has introduced the New Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which has brought significant changes to the existing education system. However, some individuals are reportedly taking advantage of this situation by spreading false and misleading information.
It, therefore, becomes even more important to verify the information before spreading it to avoid confusion and misinformation.
The government did a fact-check on it. PIB Fact Check took to its official Twitter handle to share a screenshot of the forwarded message, informing the stakeholders that the claim is false.
“This is a fake claim. There is no provision to abolish the Class 10th board exams in the new education policy. Please don’t forward such misleading messages,” PIB wrote.
