Balasore, : In a tragic mishap, two persons were killed and four others sustained critical injuries after an ambulance collided with a container truck in Balasore district.
The identities of the deceased are yet to be ascertained.
According to reports, an ambulance was en route from West Bengal to Cuttack with patients when it collided with a container truck near the Dandakali area on National Highway (NH) 16.
As a result, two persons including the driver of the ambulance died and four others sustained critical injuries.
Being informed, police and fire officials rushed to the spot and initiated a rescue operation. The officials recovered the bodies of the deceased and rescued the injured.
Subsequently, the injured were rushed to a nearby hospital for medical aid and the bodies were sent for post-mortem.
