Bhubaneswar, : A truck carrying a huge amount of beef was seized by the Nirakarpur Police at Rameswar Chhak in Khrodha district on Sunday. Three persons have been detained in this connection.
While the truck was on its way to Berhampur, some local people stopped the truck and informed the police, said sources.
On being informed the police reached at the spot and seized the truck. It was suspected that more than 15 tonne of beef was present inside the containers of the truck.
Three persons have been detained in this regard and further investigation is underway, said a police official.
