Bhubaneswar: Technical institutions and Engineering Colleges in Odisha will be shut from April 28 till May 2, 2022. However, all the examinations that were scheduled earlier will be conducted as usual. It was informed by the Skill Development and Technical Education department of Odisha on Wednesday.
Reportedly, the above decision has been taken keeping in view the extreme heat wave condition in the State.
Earlier, the classroom teaching in the educational institutions coming under the higher educational department had been suspended starting from Wednesday till May 2 for the severe heat wave condition across the State of Odisha.
On April 25 Odisha government had also announced that all the government and private schools in the State will remain shut for next five days due to extreme heat wave condition.
In the mean while Board of Secondary Education (BSE) Odisha has rescheduled the State Open School Certificate Examination (SOSC) 2022 keeping in view the on-going heat wave condition.
