Mumbai : The administration imposed Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) within Mumbai commissionerate limits prohibiting rallies and protest marches involving people and vehicles for the next two days, an official said.
The order, issued by the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Operations), will be in force for 48 hours on today and tomorrow.

Restrictions have been put in place in Mumbai as a precautionary measure prevent the risk of infection due to the new variant Omicron.
Earlier, curfew-like restrictions were imposed in Akola district due to the new coronavirus, Omicron.
