Bhubaneswar, : The cell phone of Ruchika Mohanty, who committed suicide in her hostel room after being allegedly ragged by three of her seniors, could not be unlocked in the forensic laboratory of Singapore.
Ruchika Mohanty, a Plus-III first-year student of BJB College, committed suicide in her hostel room after being allegedly ragged by three of her seniors.
The Commissionerate police informed on Friday that the Odisha police had recovered Ruchika’s cell phone at the time of inquiry. Following this, it was sent to the state forensic laboratory expecting clues on the alleged suicide. However, the techies of the Odisha police failed to unlock the cell phone. As a result, it was sent to the forensic laboratory, Singapore to unlock it.
