New Delhi : Amid the Ukraine and Russia war, the evacuation drive is being done in Ukraine and India is among those countries who is making all the possibility for the Indians to get back home safely.
India is not only helping its citizens but also helping their neighbours. Recently, Asma Shafique, a Pakistani girl, was evacuated from a war zone in Ukraine with help from the Indian Embassy in Kyiv.
In a video, she thanked the Indian Embassy and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for helping her escape a “very difficult situation”. She said, “I’m very thankful to the Embassy of India in Kyiv for supporting us all the way here as we were stuck in a very difficult situation.”
Asma Shafique is now on her way to western Ukraine from where she will eventually make her way out of the war-torn country. She will be reunited with her family soon, added sources.
