Bhubaneswar, : Athlete Sabita Toppo brought laurels for Odisha by clinching silver medal in the 4th Asian Youth Athletics Championships in Kuwait.
Sabita clinched in 100m hurdles clocking 14.17s.
Worth mentioning, the 4th Asian Youth Athletics Championships has started on October 13 in Kuwait. While, a 35-member squad is representing the Indian Youth Athletics team (U-18).
The Championship was first played in 2015 and since then it has been held every two years except 2021 which was postponed to 2022 amid Covid-19 pandemic.
India bagged a total of 54 medals. It has four Championship records with China holding the majority share with 22 records.
