Bhubaneswar, : The outstanding public debt at the end of 2019-20 was over Rs 68K crore, said the CAG report laid on the table of the House on Thursday.
The audit report said the public debt for the year ending March 2020 was 68,438 crore. The internal debt was Rs 60,595 crore while loans and advances from the Central government were Rs 7,843 crore. Thus, the total public debt has increased from Rs 58,2534 crore to Rs 68, 438 crore as compared to the previous year.
The total public debt and the other liabilities stands at Rs 1,26,084 crore by the end of 2019-20.
