Bhubaneswar, : Odisha reported two cases of Omicron variant of Covid-19, informed Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar.
Of them, a person who returned from Nigeria recently has tested positive for the new variant of coronavirus in Cuttack another is a Qatar returnee.
Earlier three samples were sent for genome sequencing to confirm Omicron cases in Odisha. Besides, seven others who came in contact with the duo also tested positive for the virus.
The samples of the infected persons have been sent for genome sequencing to ascertain the variant of Covid-19.
