Odagaon, : Nayagarh police on Monday cracked the case of the mysterious disappearance of a 12-year-old minor boy from Nayagarh.
Police today said that the missing student Amrit Patra (12), son of one Kalia Patra of Subudhisahi was rescued near his village Kural under Odogaon police limits.
Sources said Amrit had gone missing while returning from tuition on December 15 evening. Later, the family members lodged a complaint with the local police. Meanwhile, police formed two teams and launched an investigation into the matter. Later, they found Amrit near his village Kural.
He has been taken to the district headquarters hospital (DHH) in Nayagarh to conduct a thorough check-up as he has become weak. We will ask him about the incident after he returns to good health. Details will be disclosed later, Nayagarh Superintendent of Police (SP) Sidhharth Kataria said.
Further interrogation is underway.
