Berhampur : Some miscreants have allegedly torched a garage shop in the Sadar police station area in the Ganjam district.
According to reports, the miscreants set the garage shop of a man identified as Rabindra Jena in Rohigaon village under Sadar police limits on fire late last night.
Being informed, forest officials rushed to the spot and doused the flames. But till then, property worth lakhs of rupees was gutted in the fire.
The garage owner has alleged that the incident was a result of past enmity. He also cited that some people have threatened him recently.
Meanwhile, based on the complaint lodged by the shop owner, Sadar Police have launched a probe into the matter to unearth other details.
