Karanjia, (Pramod Kumar Sahu ) : A joint team of Wildlife Crime Control Bureau (WCCB) and the Forest Department have seized a leopard skin in the Jashipur area of Mayurbhanj district and arrested seven persons in this connection.
The identities of the accused are yet to be known.
Acting on a tip-off regarding the smuggling, the officials conducted a raid near the Jashipur bus stand and arrested the accused while they were trying to make a deal.
The officials have recovered a leopard skin and a car from their possession.
Further investigation in this regard is underway.
