Sambalpur, : In a shocking incident, a lecturer of Parmanpur College in Sambalpur district was arrested for allegedly sending a fake e-mail regarding the recruitment of a clerk to the college principal posing himself as the Secretary of Higher Education Department.
The accused has been identified as Paresh Kumar Bhoi, a lecturer in the Economics department.
According to the police, Bhoi had created a fake e-mail id of the Higher Secondary Education department and had allegedly sent a fake e-mail to the college principal regarding clerk recruitment.
Later, the principal, Sandhyarani Mishra filed a written complaint at Sambalpur Cyber police station, basing on which, a case was registered.
During the investigation, the police found the involvement of Bhoi and arrested him. The accused has been forwarded to court on Wednesday, said the police.
