Kala Baisakhi likely in 9 districts of the state, temperature will be above 40 degrees in 4 districts
Bhubaneswar, : Thunderstorms rain is likely in 9 districts of the state. Thunderstorms and rain are likely in Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Balangir, Koraput, Rayagada and Gajapati. Winds may blow at a speed of 30 to 40 km. But the weather department has predicted that the day temperature will be 40 degrees or above in Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Sundargarh and Boudh.
Thunderstorms and rain are likely in Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Koraput and Rayagada districts on the 19th. Rain is also likely at one or two places in interior Odisha. Light rain is likely in interior Odisha as well as Ganjam and Gajapati on the 21st. The Meteorological Department has predicted light rain in coastal Odisha and some other places on the 22nd and 23rd.
On Saturday, Sambalpur recorded a temperature of 39.8 degrees. Bolangir and Bargarh recorded 39.5 degrees, Sonepur, Nuapada and Boudh recorded 39 degrees.
