Sambalpur, : The Jhulen bridge over the Kharla river in Kuchinda block of the Sambalpur district collapsed late last night.
As a result, a truck fell into the river. The driver of the truck trapped inside the vehicle and was unable to escape from the spot.
On being informed, a rescue team arrived at the spot and the driver was rescued after 11 hours of tireless effort.
He was taken to the nearby hospital in critical condition.
Regular transit services get severely affected, as a result of this whole incident.
