Jeep India has unveiled new features of its upcoming 7 seater SUV-Jeep Meridian. With the introduction of the new SUV the company wants to take the legacy of the legendary Jeep forward. The Jeep Meridian is expected to launch in June 2022 and the bookings for the SUV is expected to begin somewhere in May 2022. For those who are unaware of the latest Jeep launches, the Meridian will be the second vehicle to launch in India after Compass Trailhawk.
The Jeep Meridian will provide best-in-class comfort and first-in-segment features in the 7-seater segment. Jeep ensures that the SUV will be highly secure for your family as it has an advanced high-strength steel chassis and 60+ safety and security features. When it comes to the ride quality, the Jeep Meridian will have 25 percent reduced floor vibrations and improved stability along with best-in-class frequency selective damping.
The Jeep Meridian offers 6 airbags as a standard safety feature across all its variants. This means that your family will be safe and secure in every driving condition. The 360-degree surround-view camera assists you during your toughest adventures and also offers blind-spot monitoring. This means that you will easily handle tricky spots during day-to-day parking.
The SUV also offers many features that will provide easy access to users. The one-touch tumble second row makes accessibility to the third row an easy task. Similarly, the AC vents are available in every row for user comfort. The best-in-class cooling facility makes the SUV 30 percent cooler than the regular time.

When it comes to the engine, the Jeep Meridian will be powered by a 2.0 litre diesel motor that is already present in the Jeep Compass. We expect that the engine will produce a power of 170hp and a torque of 350Nm. However, there are possibilities that the power and torque figures of the SUV will be enhanced by the company. The SUV will offer 9 speed AT along with FWD or AWD.
Given its offerings to the users, the Jeep Meridian is expected to be costlier than the Jeep Compass. In India, the Jeep Meridian will rival the likes of Skoda Kodiak, MG Glister, and Toyota Fortuner.
