Bhubaneswar, : President of Indo-Japan Friendship Center Kunna Dash has been felicitated by the Japan government for his outstanding contribution to the promotion of tourism industries in India and worldwide.
On a special occasion organized at Kyoto in Japan, Dash was felicitated as one of the best ambassadors of Japan Tourism Department in India. Apart from it, he has been appointed as the Global Supporter of the Tourism Industry in Japan for a period of three years.
The Mayor of Kyoto, Kadakawa Disaku felicitated Dash by presenting him the award as a Global Support of Japan Tourism Department. Dash is the first Indian to receive the prestigious honour and post for his contribution to bridging India and Japan through cultural, economic, and socio-cultural ties.
Earlier in 2020, Dash was officially felicitated at Foreign Minister’s Commendations for FY 2020 on behalf of Japan Foreign Ministry by his excellency Yamamoto Jota, Representative of the Government of Japan Ambassador in charge of Kansai , for his 30 years of contribution to promote Japan in India. This is a rare award given to a foreigner who promotes Japan in his country.
