Koraput, : Odisha police seized huge quantity of ganja and arrested three dealers in Lamtaput area in Koraput district on Friday.
The three arrested drug dealers have been identified as Sudarshan Lendru of Mashkunda police station, Umesh Babu of Uttar Pradesh, and Singhpal.
Reportedly, Lamataput police have been able to apprehend them while it was being transported to Chhattisgarh in a sack of salt in the truck. The cops have arrested three ganja mafias and seized a 14-wheeler truck loaded with 5 tonnes of cannabis. The estimated cost of the seized ganja is around Rs 5 crore, police said.
Notably, two more smugglers have escaped from the spot taking advantage of the situation at night. The cops have initiated a manhunt to apprehend the escaped smugglers.
