Malkangiri, : The police have seized ganja over Rs 2.25 crore and arrested three persons in this connection in Malkangiri district.
According to the sources, the police conducted a raid and seized a truck carrying about 2,256 Kg of ganja. The seized contraband is estimated to be worth over Rs 2.25 crore.
The ganja was concealed under the coal and being transported with the help of a truck.
“The ganja was being smuggled from Chitrakonda to Raipur of Chhattisgarh,” said the Chitrakonda SDPO Anshuman Dwivedi.
A case has been registered and further investigation is underway into the matter.
