Bhubaneswar, : The president of Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) and former MP Pradeep Majhi has resigned from congress today and sent his resignation letter to the party’s president Sonia Gandhi.
Earlier there were also Speculations that Majhi would quit Congress.
In his resignation letter Majhi said, “The party has almost lost its credibility which may take a long time to revive. I have a great desire to serve my people at whatever position I am which is now lacking in the congress party”.
Notably, Odisha Congress had witnessed an internal feud when its senior leaders Majhi and Tara Prasad Bahinipati openly indulged in verbal duels.
Tara had then slammed Majhi by raising questions over the latter’s defeat in the last Lok Sabha polls. Tara had also alleged that Majhi was behind all the feuds in undivided Koraput district.
