Sambalpur : Five more students of Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR) in Burla have tested positive for Covid-19.
The total number of Covid-19 cases in the institute has gone up to 56 with the latest infections.
Keeping in view the upward surge in the Covid-19 graph, the administration has earlier cancelled the examination of first and second year students which was scheduled to be held in offline mode. Now the exams including the practicals will be conducted in online mode.
It is suspected that the infection might have spread through the annual function UTKARASH-2021, which was held at VIMSAR premises.
