Dharmendra Pradhan Hits Out At Odisha Govt, Says PM Not Given Due Credit In Major Events

Bhubaneswar: Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan today expressed his displeasure and lashed out at the Odisha government for not giving Prime Minister Narendra Modi due credit in all the recent development strides undertaken in the State.

Hitting out at the Naveen Patnaik and the ruling BJD, Pradhan said the Prime Minister has been instrumental in fostering many initiatives for development and progress of Odisha but the State government completely ignored his role and did not display any sign of acknowledgement in the recent events including the inauguration of the world-class Birsa Munda Hockey Stadium in Rourkela and commencement of the Bhubaneswar-Rourkela flight as part of the UDAN scheme or inauguration of the Deloitte Centre in Bhubaneswar.

“The Odisha government made no effort to thank the Prime Minister and the role of the Centre in yesterday’s or today’s event. There was no poster or banner of PM Narendra Modi in any of the major events. This is not expected from Odisha. The ruling BJD should consider this and acknowledge the Centre’s role in whatever success the State is reaping now,” Pradhan said.

On Friday, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and Dharmendra Pradhan had inaugurated Deloitte’s Center for Technology in Bhubaneswar as a bid to augment the technology-based economy model in the State.
