Bhubaneswar, : Odisha Director General of Police (DGP), Sunil Kumar Bansal has mourned over the demise of ASI Kishore Chandra Behera, who passed away before crowning the DGP’s Disc Award on Friday.
Taking to Twitter, Bansal said, “ We deeply mourn the sad & untimely demise of Sri. Kishore Ch. Behera, ASI, Rayagada District who was to receive the DGP’s Disc today on the occasion of #87thOdishaPoliceFormationDay. May his soul rest in eternal peace and our deepest condolences to the bereaved family members.”
Worth mentioning, that ASI Behera who was one of the awardees of DGP’s Disc Award arrived in Bhubaneswar on Wednesday, being intimated by the state police headquarters. Today, he would have been conferred with the gallantry award on Police Formation Day.
However, he felt uneasy on the way to the function in the morning. It’s why he was rushed to the Capital hospital, escorted by his nephew where he died of heart-related disease.
