Bhawanipatna, : Vigilance sleuths nabbed Nrutyaraj Majhi, Deputy Ranger working under Bhawanipatna DFO with unaccounted cash Rs 1.5 lakh on Thursday.
Officials said that Majhi was intercepted while returning home from duty carrying the cash inside a plastic carry bag on his motorcycle.
“Majhi has been detained for further interrogation after he could not give any satisfactory answers towards the possession of the money. Further investigation in the case is continuing,” said an official. Searches have been launched on properties of Majhi at Laxmipur in Kalahandi district.
