Cuttack, : Cuttack district administration on Tuesday began a campaign for stall allocation in the Bali Yatra ground.
A chariot is plying on the roads beginning from Cuttack city to the rural suburbs spreading awareness to hire stalls from the Bali Yatra ground on the occasion of Bali Yatra, scheduled on November 8.
While flagging off the Bali Yatra Rath, Cuttack district collector, Bhabani Shankar Chayanee said that the district administration is all set to allot stalls to the local vendors in order to compensate for their losses during the Covid pandemic. Accordingly, handicraft, cottage industry artisans, and local entrepreneurs will be given priority.
It is to be mentioned that this year Bali Yatra was earlier decided to be organized in a PPP mode. However, the local traders were dissatisfied with the administration’s decision for giving priority to potential traders and reputed entrepreneurs.
