Bhubaneswar, : In a shocking incident, the Commissionerate police arrested a fraudster on charges of duping several people of crores of rupees by impersonating as a doctor.
The accused has been identified as Ramesh Chandra Swain (62), a resident of Bhagwanpur village in the Kendrapara district.
According to reports, the accused has been duping several people of crores of rupees for last 20 years. Shockingly, he married to as many as 13 women including doctors, lawyers, and models in five states by impersonating as a doctor.
Police have also found that the accused has links with various fraud cases in Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka.
Earlier, he was arrested by the Andhra Pradesh police in 2011 on charges of duping people.
Sources said Bhubaneswar DCP Umashankar Dash will hold a press meet today and brief about the incident.
