Bhubaneswar, : Congress leader and former MLA of Dhenkanal Nabin Nanda resigned from the party today.
Nanda took social media to inform the development. Nanda in a tweet said that he has resigned from the party voluntarily. He also thanked the President of Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee for giving party ticket in 2019 election.
Nanda had joined the Congress before the last general elections in the state in 2019 after being expelled from the ruling BJD.
BJD had suspended Nanda from the party in July, 2018 after he was arrested from a spa in Kolkata where a sex racket was allegedly running in the guise of a massage centre.
