Bhubaneswar, : In view of the festival season, the Commissionerate police intensified police patrolling in its jurisdiction, as the police took out night patrolling in motorbike from Reserve field at around 9:30pm yesterday.
The police patrolling was led by Bhubaneswar DCP Prateek Singh including the police officials of Property Offense Prevention and Detection (POPD) and traffic police.
In order to combat and prevent street crime in the city, DCP instructed said that 15 motorbikes with 30 policemen including sub-inspector and Havildars each from Sahid Nagar, Nayapalli and Bharatpur will be there during the patrolling. It will put a check on the anti-social elements. Officer oriented patrolling will further ensure a decrease in street crime.
