Bhubaneswar : The Centre has approved the extension of the service tenure of Odisha Chief Secretary SC Mohapatra for a period of six months, beyond his normal date of superannuation.
Earlier, the state government had given a proposal for extension of tenure to the Personnel Department of the Union Government.
Mohapatra, a 1986-batch IAS officer, has been serving as the Chief Secretary since December 2020. He was scheduled to retire on February 28, 2020.
