Sambalpur : In yet another incident of poll-related violence, some miscreants have fired several bullets at the house of a Sarpanch candidate in the Rengali block of Sambalpur district.
According to sources, the miscreants fired several bullets at the house of Lalit Kumar Sahoo, a Sarpanch candidate from Ghichamura panchayat under Thelkoloi police limits in Rengali block, late last night. The bullet marks were found at the door of his house.
However, no injury or casualty has been reported in this connection.
Being informed police arrived at the spot and initiated a probe into the matter.
Police have also launched a manhunt to nab the culprits and assured stringent action will be taken against them.
