BSE Odisha publishes guideline for summative assessment of classes 9th and 10th

Cuttack: The Board of Secondary Education has published the guidelines on its official website for the first summative assessment (SA-1) of classes 9th and 10th students.

Reportedly, the summative assessment (SA-1) exam of class 9th will begin on November 26, Friday, and will end on November 29, Monday.

According to the Board’s guideline, the students will enter the school campus at 8 am following which the question papers will be released in strong room at 8.30 am and after 10 minutes it will be sent to all the allotted classrooms.

The question papers will be distributed to the students at 8.50 am and the exam will begin at 9 am. The answer sheets will be collected from the students at 10 am. The second sitting of the exam will begin from 11 am to 12 noon.

The answer sheet of first sitting will be closed by packets at 10.20 am. While, the answer sheets of second sitting will be closed in packets at 12:20 pm. Both answers sheets will be sent to neutral schools at 1.30 p.m.

The evaluation of the SA-1 of class 9th students will begin on November 29 and will be completed on December 6 following which all the answer sheets will be sent to respective schools. In case of any error, it will be rectified by December 9 and the students’ marks will be uploaded online by December 20.

Similarly, the summative assessment (SA-1) exam for class 10th students will begin on December 27 and end on December 30. The first sitting test will begin from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., and the second sitting will be from 12 noon to 1 p.m. along with 15 minutes extra time for mathematics subject only.

The students of classes 9th and 10th will give the exam in two sittings at their respective schools. Each subject will have 40 objective questions and the students will fill the OMR sheets to answer them, stated the Board’s guideline.

Meanwhile, the online application process for 10th class students has started online from November 18 and the deadline has been set till November 25. All information regarding the application form is available on the Board’s official website www.bseodisha.ac.in .
