Puri, : The Puri police has arrested two brown sugar peddlers and recovered 100 grams brown sugar worth Rs 10 lakhs on Monday.
The accused have been identified as Sampad Kumar Das of Puri and Kamal Kishor Panda of Balasore. Police has also seized three cell phones and Rs1, 000 cash from the accused.
“Talabania Police and STF personnel conducted a joint operation in which they raided and nabbed the peddlers while they were selling the drug under the Hulahulia bridge in Puri,” said a police official.
