Bhadrak, : At least two persons were arrested in connection with smuggling of brown sugar worth Rs 1.3 crore in Randia chhak area of Bhadrak district today.
Acting on a tip-off, Bhadrak police conducted a raid and seized over 1 kg of brown sugar. The seized contraband was being smuggled from Jaleswar to Ganijang. The police also seized a bike and three mobile phones.
Both the accused have been arrested and will be forwarded to the court. Further investigation in this matter is going on, said police.
