Kendrapara : Bhitarkanika National Park will remain close for tourists for 10 days in January 2022 to carry out crocodile census in waterbodies inside and outside the wildlife sanctuary.
To avoid any sort of human interference at a time when the headcount of the crocodiles, such decision has been taken.
Sources said, the headcount exercise of crocodiles is scheduled to start from January 2 till January 11, 2022, following which the entry of tourists will be prohibited.
The wildlife sanctuary will open for tourists from January 12, 2022.
