Bhadrak : A dreaded criminal was injured in a police encounter while fleeing after a failed robbery attempt in Charampa warehouse area in Bhadrak. The injured criminal has been admitted in Bhadrak Hospital.
The criminal who got injured in the encounter is Budhia alias Kamalakant Das, a resident of Tudi Gadia area of Balaosre district.
According to sources, Bhadrak Town Police raided the Charampa warehouse area under Bhadrak Town Police Station while the criminal was attemtpting a large-scale robbery in the area.
Upon spotting the police, the criminal opened fire on them and tried to flee. The police retaliated and shot him in the leg.
