Khantapada: A biker died after being hit by a truck in front of the Jagannath petrol pump near Shergarh under Khantapada police station this morning.
According to information, Dhananjay, son of Soudamini Kham of Bejpali village under Nayakpada police station in Subarnapur district, was going to Balasore on a bike with two others. While he was getting out of the tank after filling oil from the Jagannath petrol pump under Shergarh Beat House, a 10-wheeler truck (OR 01H 0392) collided with Dhananjay. As a result, Dhananjay fell on the side of the road in a pool of blood at the scene of the incident.
The locals stopped the truck and took Dhananjay to the Khantapada Group Hospital for treatment. The doctor declared him dead there. On receiving information, the Khantapada police reached the spot and seized the body and are conducting further investigation. On the other hand, it is known that two other men riding on Dhananjay’s bike took the vehicle and hit him.
