New Delhi: More than 26 people reportedly have been killed in the terrorist attack that took place in Pahalgam of Kashmir in Jammu and Kashmir yesterday.
With the government and the Raj Bhawan holding back the number of casualties reports say that about 28 civilians have died in this terrorist attack.
As per reports, officials said foreign tourists from Italy and Israel were among dead. Terrorists used both automatic rifles and small arms to attack civilians present at the meadow.
I strongly condemn the terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Condolences to those who have lost their loved ones. I pray that the injured recover at the earliest. All possible assistance is being provided to those affected. Those behind this heinous act will be brought to justice…they will not be spared! Their evil agenda will never succeed. Our resolve to fight terrorism is unshakable and it will get even stronger – PM Modi said in an X post.

The attack comes at a sensitive time, just ten weeks before the annual Amarnath Yatra, a major Hindu pilgrimage, is set to begin, with Pahalgam serving as one of its key base camps.
