Bhubaneswar: As many as 43 Odisha government officials including 14 Class 1 officers have been arrested for corrupt practices in 2022 so far, informed Odisha Vigilance Director, Y K Jethwa today.
According to Y K Jethwa, the State Vigilance has registered 62 cases in 2022 so far in which 43 officials have been arrested for corrupt practices.
“Going forward, with the support of the State Government we are enhancing the human resource capabilities and infrastructure of Odisha Vigilance to meet future challenges,” Jethwa said.
“Opening the doors of Vigilance further for officials from other wings of government as well as professional experts such as Bankers, CAs, Engineers etc. is in the pipeline,” he added.
He further said that procurement of Forensic and Electronic Aids to Detection & Investigation is being done.
“With these inputs, Odisha Vigilance is committed to further strengthen its anti-corruption actions with better results in the coming days. Our anti-corruption drive will continue and we are committed to take strong action against corruption in the future,” the Vigilance Director assured.
