Bhubaneswar: The Kalabaisakhi rains are likely to continue for four more days in the state. Thunderstorms, lightning, and hailstorms are likely to be experienced in Malkangiri, Ganjam, Koraput, and Mayurbhanj districts this afternoon with a gusty speed of 30-40 km/h . A Yellow Warning for heatwave has been issued for Jharsuguda, Boudh, Sambalpur, and Balangir districts.
As many as 7 districts have been issued a orange warning by the IMD, including Koraput, Ganjam, Sundargarh, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Kendujhar, Bhadrak. In these districts, winds may blow at a speed of 50-60 km/h. Additionally, a yellow warning has been issued to 18 districts for thunderstorms and lightning.
The forecast indicates a likelihood of Kalbaishakhi storms until the April 29. There is no significant change expected in temperature for 3 days. After that, the daytime temperature may decrease by 3-5 degrees Celsius.
