Thunderstorms, lightning, and hailstorms are likely to be experienced in Malkangiri, Ganjam, Koraput, and Mayurbhanj districts this afternoon with a gusty speed of 30-40 km/h . A Yellow Warning for heatwave has been issued for Jharsuguda, Boudh, Sambalpur, and Balangir districts.
As many as 7 districts have been issued a orange warning by the IMD, including Koraput, Ganjam, Sundargarh, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Kendujhar, Bhadrak. In these districts, winds may blow at a speed of 50-60 km/h. Additionally, a yellow warning has been issued to 18 districts for thunderstorms and lightning.
