Balasore: The body of the Odia youth killed in Kashmir terror attack will reach Odisha in the evening. The deceased’s brother in Balasore said that the body will be airlifted from Srinagar at 2.35 pm and will brought to Odisha via Delhi. Accordingly, the body is speculated to reach Odisha this evening.
The deceased youth from Odisha has been identified as Prashanta Satpathy from Ishani village in Remuna area of Balasore. He was working in the Central Institute of Plastic Engineering and Technology as an accountant in Bamapada.
Deeply saddened, his elder brother of Sushanta Satpathy said that last Sunday, he (Prashanta) went to Jammu and Kashmir with his wife Priyadarshini and son Tanuj. His elder brother Sushant Kumar Shatpathy received a call about yesterday’s incident at around 2:30 pm. After Prashant’s death, it was reported that his wife and son were safe. Reportedly, the terrorists opened fire on them while they were visiting Pahalgam in Srinagar with other tourists. After hearing the news of Prashant’s death, a shadow of grief was descended in the area.
The emotional elder brother said that he (Prashanta) promised me that we were born in one place. We will not be separated, brother. We all live in one place and die in one place. Yet, he left me alone. He did not keep his word. He said so and broke down.
He also informed that now their younger brother Jayanta Satpathy and brother-in-law have reached Srinagar. Today the body will reach Bhubaneswar by direct flight from Srinagar via Delhi. Today the flight will leave Srinagar at 2.35. Contact has also been made with the deceased brother’s wife Priyadarsini Acharya.
