Civil Services Exam 2021: Karthik Panigrahi Odisha Topper

Bhubaneswar: Karthik Panigrahi emerged as Odisha topper in the Civil Services Examination, whose results were declared by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) today.

Of total 685 candidates successfully cleared the tough competitive examination for the year 2021, Karthik was placed 63rd in the exam. He is from Sonepur district of Odisha.

Other candidates from Odisha who cracked the Civil Services Examination-2021 were Gourab Kumar Agarwal (86), Pooja Sahu (199), Biswa Bisruta Tripathy (232), Anup Garg (269), Samir Kumar Jena (273), Soumya Ranjan Pradhan (306) and Manas Ranjan Sahu (513). Gourab Agarwal and Anup Garg hail from Sundargarh district.

Women shone in the Civil Services Examination for the year 2021 as top four ranks were secured by them. Shruti Sharma topped the examination followed Ankita Agarwal, Gamini Singla and Aishwarya Verma.

Based on the result of the written test of the Civil Services Examination, 2021, held by the UPSC in January this year and interview for personality test held in April-May, 2022, total 685 candidates have been recommended for appointment to Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, Indian Police Service and Central Services, Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’.
